This year, the FRIGID NY Festival is going to be the best ever. There's an amazing array of talented performers, writers and musicians doing their own work. The "Snapshot" show last night for the local productions in the Festival was hilarious, touching and full of warmth. I've already got four shows alone, that I must check out before March 4th.
Our rehearsals for BREATHE LOVE REPEAT have been going well, with Jessica Minczeski and Natalie Zhang on board as Stage Managers. The illuminating eye and effervescent direction of Ching Valdes-Aran continues to bring amazing insight into BREATHE, which only continues to grow even fuller. Thanks, Frank Wood, for the white light from afar! We're feeling it.
And to my roomie of long ago, Lia Chang, much appreciation for your continued support.
Come check out the shows! It will be time well-spent, and you will be glad you did.
AUGUST 2011
The Edmonton Fringe Festival was an amazing experience, with sold-out houses, a 4.5 star review, and an appearance on Canadian Television's noon magazine edition of the news. Thanks, Merle and Jessica! The entire city celebrates by coming out to enjoy theatre and the festival. It's very much in appearance that this is the largest and oldest North American Fringe Festival. Globally, the Edmonton Fringe is second only to the infamous Edinburgh Fringe Festival, in Scotland. Ching Valdes-Aran and I have now done both festivals. What a wonderful life we have. Great fun to be had by all.
